The woods are thick in VT.  You have to hike a good distance, or know where to go to get a good view.  This is the best we got on this particular hike, 2 miles up.  I do love the woods.

We had to take Leif to the tractor parade (in October).  He loves his tractors and trains and often takes them to bed with him.  He was very excited to see all of the old tractors.

Vermont Institute of Natural Science

VINS is a bird rehabilitation center caring for >300 birds a year.  We got to walk the beautiful trails, meet a barn owl and a great horned owl, and see many more owls and other raptors too.
